The Green Men of Manhattan
(a TMNT story)
Macy Nightingale leaned back in her chair and stretched her aching spine and shoulders. She had been slumped over her computer for the past 3 hours. She pushed her glasses up onto her head and rubbed her weary eyes. A quick glance at her clock told her she was well into the night already. there was no point in trying to get some sleep now, she would have to leave for work in an hour.
A news article read earlier that week had spiked her interest.
YOUNG GIRL KIDNAPPED AND RETURNED?
Yesterday morning, around 10 am, Katie Phillips, age 7, was abducted off the streets while playing on the sidewalk in front of her apartment. The father, Randy Phillips had only stepped inside for a minutes to answer a phone call. When he came back outside, little Katie was gone. The parents had gone to the police station after asking neighbors and friends, when they returned a few hours later at 1 pm, Katie was sitting on the front steps, unharmed and waiting for them. While being interviewed, Katie explained "A tall man came up to me and asked what game I was playing. Then he grabbed me and put me in the backseat of his car. We drove for a little bit, then he stopped and got out and made me get out too. We were behind an old building, he was pushing me towards a big door when I screamed as loud as I could. He told me to be quiet so I did, then a funny green man came up and made him go to sleep. Then the green man told me I was safe, and picked me up and brought me home." Officials have stated that a man assumed to be the kidnapper was dropped off in front of NYC Police Station, unconscious and hanging from a lamp post[...]
This hadn't been the first article she had seen with mentioning of a mysterious 'green man'. Macy had been researching about the green men, but hadn't found anything useful yet. She was a journalist- at least, she wanted to be. A small paper company that needed someone to write a column every two weeks had accepted her application, but required a sample article for an idea of what her column would be about and her writing skills.
One more glance at her clock and she was convinced she'd be late if she didn't get dress right now and go to work.
Macy stepped out of the crisp autumn air and into the warm coffee shop. Jack Lire, her fellow employee was sipping a latte and reading the news paper. She mumbled a hey as she worked her scarf and coat off and tied an apron around her waist.
"Hey Macy, did you get the job at the news paper place?" he asked, turing in his seat and putting down the morning paper. "Well they accepted my application, but I need to write an interesting article."
"Do you know what you're gonna write it about?"
"I read about that little girl that was abducted and returned in the same day-"
"Oh I saw that too! Weird, huh?"
"Yes, very weird indeed. So I looked more into it, and this isn't the first time this 'green man' has showed up in news articles. I'm going to write my column about him, but I just need more info. There's barely anything about him."
"Sounds very interesting, well I'm off. See ya when my shift starts again." Jack called as he pulled a hat onto his head and hurried out. Macy was left alone in the vacant shop. She scrubbed down the tables till they shined and cleaned the machines. Refilling the cream and caramel containers, and wiping down counters and she was done. Bored out of her mind, Macy sat behind the cash register and propped her head in her hand. No customers ever came in at 1 am, so she didn't understand why she worked a night shift, but she wasn't complaining. It wasn't too hard and it paid the rent.
She must have dozed off because she awoke to someone shaking her arm and the sun slowly rising in the sky. "Hey Mace, wake up."
Jack stood over her smirking and holding a drink in a threatening tilt over het head. She jumped awake and brushed her light auburn hair out of her eyes.
"I was hanging with some of my buddies and Jamie said something about her sister came home a few nights ago talking about a mugging and a green alien saving her." he raised his eyebrows excitedly and searched her drowsy expression. "do you know what this means?"
"huh? Ummmm..."
"It means if you can interview her, you got something to put in that article!"
Macy's eyes opened sharply and she snapped out of it, wide awake with excidedness.
This was perfect, this was just what she needed for her column. An interview with a witness of the green man.

Struck like a blade it will silence you, seeing you as no friend.
Ghostly it wanders the lands seeking an answer.
What went wrong, where is it, what is it.
It cannot be found, it never gets seen or heard, but it does leave a trail.
You can follow it all you want, but you won't be following for long.
Children are afraid of its name, though their parents tell no one.
You can look for ways to stop it though you are bound to fail.
Weapons won't stop it, shields won't halt it, and people only get in its way.
There kind no longer exists, yet it still walks.
Seeking what you and they ask, yet only one knows.

She likes to think she could bury him. She likes to imagine a place she can visit and know he is near, even if it’s only skin and bones. At least he’d be near. But, she imagines him lying in a field somewhere in France, his beautiful skin ravaged by different carrion. She imagines him alone and it kills her more than the telegraph did.
How out of place that telegraph had seemed. It came on a perfectly ordinary Wednesday morning. Shouldn’t the world have ended the moment he stopped breathing? Shouldn’t she have known? Why had she needed a telegraph to tell her the news, when she should have felt it?

The boy stood before the man, his eyes firmly on the expensive and thick vermillion rug under his toes. He had gone through this ritual hundreds of times, so was surprised and more than a little apprehensive when the man, instead of pleasuring himself and sending him away with a curt groan, gave a peculiar and grating bark. The boy glanced up in alarm. Was this man going to become violent? He'd heard talk of some men who only became satisfied after beating and riding out the slave like an animal, but the boy had so far had the luck to not have to pleasure such a person. His stomach clenched, and he began to gather up his strength to offer hi

All right, I had this idea at like 1 in the morning, so this may not be very good
This will hopefully have more chapters coming soon, but i m lazy and get bored a lot. It is mainly about my OC Macy.
Summery:
Macy Nightingale has always wanted to be a journalist. Now that she's got the chance, she's come across another problem. What to write about? In order to stick the job, Macy needs something thats interesting enough to catch the attention of even the city mayor. Something that no one else has ever written about. Something like the mysterious green men lurking the roof tops at night...
Comment with your thoughts on this/ any problems i need to fix.
thanks for reading guys
I dont own TMNT, just OCs
